If your truly in need of more adventure, your intuition will guide you. Intuition is "The ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning." The thinking mind that we use so much. We often try to think the solution out of the problem… rather just sit back and let the answers flow to you rather than force them out. It could also be said as trusting your gut or following your instincts. If adventure is truly what you want, intuition will guide you there. So often these days we THINK we know what’s best so it can be hard to tune into intuition.
The very act of moving your body helps you go move into a different space sparks an adventure. When you don't know where you're going, it's exciting as you see things you have never seen before. You become curious and start to explore. The simple element of mystery helps you to 'play' which we, as adults don't do enough of. We can look to children to see how much they play, yet we don't really do it ourselves.
Being highly self aware and knowing our likes and dislikes is such an important quality. This helps us to choose how we will spend our time, what type of people we like being with, what activities we like to engage in, events we want to go to and places we want to see. This can lead us to falling into a pattern of always doing things that we know are familiar to us, because we know we like doing them.Sometimes this also means we stop looking at things that we don’t know. This is often where we find the adventure in our lives.
You can use 'flow' to draw adventures into your life, rather than always chasing them! What do I mean by that? To gain a better understanding of this concept, lets first take a look at what FLOW actually is. Flow can be defined as "a steady continuous stream of something" or "moving steadily and continuously in a current or stream." In our case flow is a steady continuous stream of living your life in joy, ease and adventure, it will feel like you effortlessly floating along in the stream of your life.
Unlike so many of my friends and family, I haven't yet stepped onto the 'traditional life path.' Maybe someday I will, but maybe I wont. To be clear, I'm not for a moment suggesting this way is any less or better than any other, its just different to what I know. Instead I seem to live more a nomadic and free type of life. Wanderlust energy runs high through my soul. This somewhat nomadic pull plucked me swiftly out of the 9-5 city life.
When we go to work on ourselves, its important to be open to the road ahead. Normally one would relate 'working on yourself' or 'growing as a person' to getting better, whatever better looks like? Happier, a more fulfilling life, openness and more opportunities. But the road forward its not always as clear cut as we first think. Remembering that we have both a light side and a shadow side.
