Travel Diaries #15: 6 Days in India

Travel Diaries #15: 6 Days in India

Id built up the belief that “you need to be ready” before you travel to India. This had come mainly from external voices and opinions of others. I would often get told how ‘full on’ it was to travel to India. The traffic, the smells, cows in the street, the poverty, the large amount of people, the craziness of the train stations and the difference in culture.

Follow your intuition to your next adventure.

Follow your intuition to your next adventure.

If your truly in need of more adventure, your intuition will guide you. Intuition is "The ability to understand something instinctively, without the need for conscious reasoning." The thinking mind that we use so much. We often try to think the solution out of the problem… rather just sit back and let the answers flow to you rather than force them out. It could also be said as trusting your gut or following your instincts. If adventure is truly what you want, intuition will guide you there. So often these days we THINK we know what’s best so it can be hard to tune into intuition.

Travel Diaries #14: Borneo...this I did not expect.

Travel Diaries #14: Borneo...this I did not expect.

The excitement of travelling to a new country fluttered around my stomach. Seeing new places is something I live for. Im curious to learn about new cultures, see new sites and wonder at the world at large. So you can imagine how I was feeling as I stepped off the aeroplane at Kuching in Borneo. I had heard of Borneo before but had never really looked into it. Truth be told, I had to look on a map to see where it was located, for those of you wondering like I was it sits above the western side of Indonesia in the south china sea. Comprised of three countries Bruni, Indonesia and Malaysia.

Go somewhere new to spark adventure in your life.

Go somewhere new to spark adventure in your life.

The very act of moving your body helps you go move into a different space sparks an adventure. When you don't know where you're going, it's exciting as you see things you have never seen before. You become curious and start to explore. The simple element of mystery helps you to 'play' which we, as adults don't do enough of. We can look to children to see how much they play, yet we don't really do it ourselves.

Travel Diaries #13: Ushuaia - the end of the world.

Travel Diaries #13: Ushuaia - the end of the world.

The flight to the end of the world was smooth until landing. I don't know if it had anything to do with how far south we were but I have never experienced the plane rumble, bounce and shake so much. Add to this the gasps, screams and worried noises from the cabin and you have one scary experience. Nonetheless I arrived, I felt a good vibe about Ushuaia, Fin del Mundo (the end of the world).

Travel Diaries #12: Mission to Uruguay

Travel Diaries #12: Mission to Uruguay

Had our brains really been severely affected by the copious amounts of alcohol we had consumed in Argentina? Or was it simply just the all night parties that Buenos Aires had severed up to us? Perhaps we had we just become lazy and unable to work to a schedule of time since we were now ‘travellers’ with no routine and no order to life.

Say 'YES' to draw in adventures.

Say 'YES' to draw in adventures.

Being highly self aware and knowing our likes and dislikes is such an important quality. This helps us to choose how we will spend our time, what type of people we like being with, what activities we like to engage in, events we want to go to and places we want to see. This can lead us to falling into a pattern of always doing things that we know are familiar to us, because we know we like doing them.Sometimes this also means we stop looking at things that we don’t know. This is often where we find the adventure in our lives.
