When coming home...

  • Emotions and differences Toni faced - Felt so isolated from the rest of the world. Frustration.

  • What had changed for Toni - Sees the positives of living in such a lucky country like Australia. Some friendships changed and the school she was working at changed as well. People are progressing without you in their lives. Toni felt like she had not changed. More appreciation for home.

  • How Toni supported herself - She found that it was good to go away a second time.

  • How her mindset had changed - She has always

  • 3 Lessons learned from travel and reverse culture shock

  1. Don’t get stuck in a comfort zone, it will restrict you.

  2. Find your passion, what is it that you love?

  3. Everything works out how it should.

  • Advise to herself for returning home - Not to worry about what happens, know that it might be hard and it might be different. The travel is worth what you experience when you come home.

Having no comfort zone means that you are willing to do just do things. If you want to book a trip or go overseas, if you want to live somewhere, dont just say that you are going to do it, actually do it!
